Why Client Feedback Is So Important

Choosing the right professionals to handle your property sale or purchase becomes crucial in an era dominated by online interactions with service reviews. Property lawyers often find themselves criticised for supposed 'hidden charges,' a stigma that we at RG Law actively work to dispel.

We want to make our clients happy. We have meticulously examined the common elements in property transactions and established a standard legal fee for our services. So that all our clients do not pay a higher fee for work that does not come up very often. However, we acknowledge that specific scenarios, such as gifted deposits and a charge on the property or leasehold transactions, may deviate from the norm, requiring additional work and attracting additional fees. It's important to note that these fees are not concealed; rather, they arise due to unique circumstances brought to our attention by clients or discovered during the legal process.

We believe in maintaining open communication with our clients about extra costs, aiming to eliminate surprises along the way. We understand budgeting, especially for first-time homebuyers, where every penny matters. Drawing a parallel to other services, like an MOT for your car, you may expect a particular cost, but unforeseen issues like bald tyres can lead to additional labour and replacement tyre expenses, which you did not know until the MOT work was done. Similarly, while it's possible to seek a cheaper deal elsewhere in the legal world, switching mid-process might incur additional costs if a significant portion of the legal work has already commenced.

Transparency is the cornerstone of our approach. Should our findings lead to additional work beyond our standard conveyancing fee, we promptly share this information with our clients. We highlight the implications and present various options, allowing clients to make informed decisions about their legal matters.

Client feedback

At RG Law, we firmly believe that transparency is not just a policy; it's a commitment to empowering our clients with the knowledge they need throughout their legal journey. We actively ask our clients to share their experiences online for all to see, which also helps us improve our service.
