In an era where AI is rapidly transforming industries, the world of property transactions is no exception. Our recent article in The Negotiator - People think AI can do conveyancing, but it’s way off that…”, addresses a common misconception that conveyancing can soon become a fully automated process.

Can AI replace humans in Conveyancing?

In the article, our Managing Director Matt Gillies explains that while AI tools are powerful when used for being able to assist with document collation such as ID checks and basic compliance, that they can't replace humans' professional judgment, responsibility and risk-management required in conveyancing.

Just as importantly, AI can't replicate the human side of conveyancing, the empathy, communication, and reassurance that clients rely on during one of life’s most significant transactions. Buying or selling a home isn’t just a legal process, it’s a personal journey filled with emotion, anticipation, and sometimes stress. That level of care and understanding can only come from real people who listen, explain, and guide clients through each stage with confidence and compassion.

Where AI Helps & Where Humans Excel

This article challenges assumptions and looks closely at where AI adds value and where human expertise remains irreplaceable.
