Update Your Will Week

It is National Update Your Will Week, organised by Lifetime Lawyers, from 4th March to 10th March 2024. During this significant time, we emphasise the crucial importance of an updated will. Ensuring that your wishes are clear and respected is an act of care for your loved ones, helping alleviate potential distress in the future.

Join the cause by either updating your existing will or taking the necessary steps to create a new one. #UYWW

Reflecting on the past, we've read about the challenges faced by the families of notable individuals who departed without a will. Figures like Amy Winehouse, Prince, Jimi Hendrix, Abraham Lincoln, and Bob Marley serve as poignant reminders of the complexities that arise when the wishes of the deceased are unclear.

Let's face it – we all have an expiration date (spoiler alert!). The reality is, none of us will live forever, and truth be told, I don't aspire to. A will is your voice that speaks for you after you've departed. During this awareness week, RG Law encourages you to reflect on what matters most and take the necessary steps to organise your affairs.

Update Your Will Week

This is more than a routine task and should happen at regular intervals throughout your life, as things change, more children, grandchildren, marriage and sadly, divorce. It's an act of love and consideration for those you care about. Use this week wisely to initiate conversations, make decisions, and ultimately ensure that your legacy is carried out according to your wishes.
