Have you turned your back on the capital?
Thousands of first-time buyers have turned their back on London in favour of purchasing more for their money outside of the capital. 28 percent of Londoners who opted out of buying in the city in the first half of 2022 were first-time buyers. Statistics closer to home shows that 34 percent of all buyers in Thurrock were first-time buyers and in Dartford, 28 percent were purchasing for the first time. It looks like more and more first-time buyers need to move out of London to get a foot on the property ladder.
