Having joined RG Law in 2019 after a long successful career in Estate Agency🏠, I sensed that was my opportunity to help bridge the gap between a Conveyancing firm and Estate Agents that require a good, honest, hardworking Law Firm that would really look after their clients.
I started in the company as a Business Development Manager🧑💼, this was a role that where I introduced RG Law to referrers and to help maintain the relationship, in 2021, I was promoted to Sales Manager. This was a role that demanded a lot more from me, and I now had a team to lead🧑🏫. I have always classed myself as a Natural leader and I have always had great satisfaction with helping and developing my colleagues.
My day often starts with me checking my emails ✉️ to see what has come in over night, this is often a mixture of instructions and new quotes. I then delegate these to my fabulous colleagues who will contact our clients and generate them a quote for our services.
I then check to see what meetings 📆 I may have in during that day, these are often meeting our existing referrers to check they are happy and we are delivering the top class service I had promised, also meeting new referrers and explaining to them what they can experience when referring their clients to us.
I can often travel around the Country 🚗 for these meetings, I will find myself in places such as Manchester, Leeds, Kent and London, and of course the beautiful city of York⛪ where I live. I have noticed Conveyancing has changed over the years and whilst referrers preferred local businesses to send their clients too, this has changed and referrers are more interested in knowing that client they send to the Law Firm💼, we look after them and protect their transaction.
Throughout the day I will be checking to see how my team is performing and our daily targets📈are been met, thankfully I have a very good, motivated team behind me, meaning I very rarely have to intervene.
When my day comes to an end, I enjoy some down time walking my dog 🐕Ralph as well as catching up with my Wife and two Sons 👨👩👦👦 to see how their days had gone. I would be lying if I said that is work done ✋until 09:00am the next day, it often isn't. Clients will have emailed✉️ questions after hours and the temptation to leave my laptop👨💻 turned off until the next day is too much...
